Dear Vegan,
Thank you so much for being one of the small minority who refuse to exploit us for taste pleasure or money. It truly means a lot–it shows that you care and have empathy. But while we’re grateful that you aren’t contributing to our suffering, over a trillion of us are still killed for food each year. Our children are still being stolen, we’re still locked in cages without room to move, and our throats are still slit for such needless things as a turkey sandwich. The greatest systematic injustice the world has ever seen is still raging on.
We’re asking you to take the next step. Animal rights activism has never been more needed, and also never been easier. All it takes is downloading one of the images on this page, printing it out–at home or at your local printing service–and leaving it wherever you go. Small actions like these can spark conversations, change perspectives, and save our lives, and you don’t even have to confront anybody!
If you’re hesitant, we have two questions for you:
What would you want someone like you to do if you were in our place? Wouldn’t you be frustrated if people refused to take even the simplest action to fight for your freedom?
What would it take for you to get active? How much suffering would be enough? Tens of billions of us are enslaved, mutilated, and killed each year. You’ve already taken the crucial step of going vegan. Now, imagine the impact you could have by helping others do the same.
We are angry, and we have every right to be! This message is for those who can help–Dear human, save us!

Tips for activism:
Brighter flyers attract far more attention, but darker ones may still be effective in places such as bathroom stalls or elevators.
The bigger you print, the more attention your flyers will grab, but the more likely they are to be taken down.
Place at eye level
Look for high-traffic areas, such as entrances to supermarkets, schools, or popular downtown streets.
Look for high-attention areas, such as bathrooms, libraries, or elevators.
Please use vegan adhesives if possible. Some glues, tapes, and other adhesives are not vegan-friendly.
Take the flyers with you and put them wherever you’re already going—there’s no need to go out of your way.
Libraries (especially in schools and colleges) often offer very cheap printing services.
Note: Please be respectful of local laws and property when placing flyers. Dear Human, Save Me does not encourage illegal activity and is not responsible for any consequences that may result from unauthorized posting.

Write your own letter!
Use your skills to write for someone who can’t. Here’s what makes a good letter:
Emotion: make the reader empathize with your animal.
Respect the reader: Assume each reader is just finding out about the injustices in your animal’s letter for the first time. They didn’t know the damage they were causing, and attacking them will only turn on their defenses.
Strong hook: grab the reader’s attention with the first few sentences. Make them have to read more.
Or;
Create your own flyer!
What makes a good flyer:
Few words: the goal is just to grab people’s attention and get them to scan the QR code.
Strong hook: make them have to learn more.
Contrast: make words very legible on the background you use.
Call to action(optional): tell them to scan the QR code and/or point to it.
Send your work to dearhumansaveme@gmail.com. If it fits the message and meets the quality bar, we’ll proudly add it to the site.
